Bike to Parkman Branch Library

MON, OCT 13 | 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM

We'll meet in the Gesu Church Parking Lot at 5:00 PM (17180 Oak Drive) and bike to the Parkman Branch Library (1766 Oakman Blvd). This will be a group ride but you can also plan to join us at the library. Check out these events happening that night at the library:

Bus to Batch

SAT, NOV 8 | 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM

We will catch the #29 Linwood Bus and head to Batch Brewing for dinner.
We will meet at the Livernois and Florence bus stop. This is near the Livernois entrance to UDM.
Plan to arrive at the bus stop by 4pm. The bus is scheduled to leave the stop at 4:10 PM.
Estimated arrival to Batch Brewing Company is approximately 4:45 PM.
We will plan to catch the 7:00 PM bus back. Estimated return time is 7:45 PM.
You can also plan to meet us at Batch. The brewery serves food and has indoor and outdoor seating.

Butzel Family Swim

Join us for Family Swim at the Adams Butzel Complex (10500 Lyndon St). If this is your first time using the rec center or pool, here are some tips:

An annual Detroit Parks & Rec membership is required. You can pay for a membership at the rec center front desk.
For Detroit residents the rates are $25 for adults, $7 for teens, $5 for youth 6-12, and free for children under 5.
Things to bring: towel, lock, shower shoes.
Lockers are available, but you can also bring a bag with you into the pool area.
The rec center is strict about showering before entering the pool, and the door to the pool from the locker room is usually locked until 7pm.

We will catch the #7 Seven Mile Bus and head to the Wilder Branch Library. (7140 E. Seven Mile Rd).
We will meet at the 7 Mile and Muirland bus stop.
Plan to arrive at the bus stop by 4:45 pm. The #7 Route is a ConnectTen Route and runs every 20 minutes during peak periods.
It should take approximately 20 minutes to reach the Wilder Branch Library.
We will plan to return around 6pm or when the group is ready to catch the bus back. The Wilder Branch closes at 8pm on Mondays.

Ice Skating at Adams Butzel

FRI, FEB 27 | 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Join us for ice skating at the Adams Butzel Complex (10500 Lyndon St).

An annual Detroit Parks & Rec membership is required. You can pay for a membership at the rec center front desk.

For Detroit residents the rates are $25 for adults, $7 for teens, $5 for youth 6-12, and free for children under 5.

Skate rental is $2 for residents and $4 for nonresidents.
